Rakuten Viki Expands Originals Offering

Rakuten Viki has bolstered its originals lineup with the new K-dramas Bad Memory Eraser, DNA Lover and Cinderella at 2AM.

Bad Memory Eraser, starring K-pop singer Kim Jae-joong (Protect the Boss, Manhole, Spy), landed on the platform on August 2. The romantic drama DNA Lover is set to debut on August 17, while Cinderella at 2AM, reimagining the fantasy tale for modern times, will bow on August 24.

DNA Lover stars Choi Si Won from K-pop band Super Junior, along with Lee Tae Hwan (What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim) and more. Cinderella at 2AM stars Shin Hyun Been (Reborn Rich) and Moon Sang Min (Wedding Impossible).

In addition to the new original series, Rakuten Viki has expanded its offering with two Thai remakes of K-dramas. The Thai version of A Love So Beautiful, previously released as both a C-drama and a K-drama, debuted earlier this summer. Beauty Newbie, a Thai remake of My ID is Gangnam Beauty, landed on the streaming service on July 26.
