The U.K.’s SYFY channel is set to air Project Blue Book, having licensed the series from A+E Networks.

The historical drama is based on the top-secret investigations conducted by the U.S. Air Force into UFOs from 1952 to 1969. It is executive produced by Oscar-winning filmmaker Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, Contact), alongside creator, writer and co-executive producer David O’Leary. The ten one-hour episodes will premiere on SYFY this March.

Project Blue Book delves into themes such as trust, instinct, and top secret UFO investigations, which guarantee to appeal to fans of science fiction and fantasy,” commented Lee Raftery, managing director for the U.K. and emerging markets and chief marketing and content officer at NBCUniversal International. “This acquisition is uniquely suited for SYFY U.K. and, with top talent both in front and behind the camera, we know viewers will be instantly hooked by these compelling, mysterious case files.”
