STUDIOCANAL has notched up a number of deals from its drama catalog, including landing presales for the new Movistar+ original Instinto.

Instinto has been presold to Amazon Prime Video for the Latin American region, including Brazil. Amazon Prime Video will launch the eight-part drama after its debut on Movistar+ in Spain. Instinto will also debut on a first-run basis across the U.S. on the Spanish-language streaming service Pantaya, a venture from Lionsgate and Hemisphere Media Group. The erotic thriller stars Mario Casas (The 33) as Marco, a tormented young businessman who regularly escapes to a private club to fulfill his fantasies.

Meanwhile, HBO Europe went for three dramas from STUDIOCANAL. The Brazilian series Crime Time and French-language NOX have been licensed for CEE, the Nordics and Spain, while the political thriller Baron Noir was picked up for the Nordics and Spain. DirecTV in LatAm opted for The Child in Time and Come Home for the OnDirecTV channel.

Beatriz Campos, head of international sales at STUDIOCANAL, said, “It is testament to the exceptional quality of Bambú’s Instinto that we have already secured two major pre-sales at this early stage. We are delighted to announce these sales to new partners Amazon Prime Video and Pantaya, and to highlight our growing relationships with HBO Europe and DirecTV with their acquisition of a package of compelling international dramas.”

“STUDIOCANAL’s premium drama series continue to be in demand with broadcasters worldwide,” she continued. “Produced in Europe by some of the hottest names in the business, these series are storytelling at its very best. Not only do they add brand value but they are guaranteed to entertain viewers worldwide.”
