Paramount+ Unveils New Details on Upcoming Crime Anthology

Paramount+ has revealed that the first installment of its new anthology series delving into some of the U.S.’s most gripping unsolved crimes is tentatively titled Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey.

Starring Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen as Patsy and John Bennett Ramsey, respectively, the series is set to explore their partnership and the complex dynamics of their marriage and parenting, as well as how they crafted the narrative of a perfect, privileged life before their daughter’s murder. Filming is currently underway in Calgary, Canada.

In addition to McCarthy and Owen, the cast features Emily Mitchell, Garrett Hedlund, Alison Pill, Shea Whigham, Owen Teague, Clifton Collins Jr, Rory Cochrane, Chris Bauer, Angus Caldwell, Will Patton, John Billingsley, Jeremy Bobb, Jaime Ray Newman, Josh Stamberg and guest star Margo Martindale.

Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey (w.t.) is being produced by Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, with Richard LaGravenese (Behind the Candelabra) serving as showrunner and executive producer. Four of the eight episodes, including the first, are being directed by Anne Sewitsky (Presumed Innocent), who is also an executive producer.

Other executive producers are David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, McCarthy and Anne Sewitsky. Writers LaGravenese, Harrison Query and Tommy Wallach are also executive producers.
