The Agency: Central Intelligence Begins Season Two Production

Paramount+’s spy thriller The Agency: Central Intelligence has kicked off production of its second season in London.

The series stars Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith and Richard Gere. It delves into the life of Martian, a CIA agent (Fassbender) living undercover in his own life as he navigates a relationship with Samia (Turner-Smith), a political prisoner in Sudan. Martian will do anything to try and save his love, even past the point of treachery.

The thriller stems from the French drama Le Bureau des Légendes (The Bureau internationally), created by Eric Rochant, and is a Création CANAL+ original series produced by TOP (The Originals Productions and Federation Studios).

The Agency: Central Intelligence is executive produced by Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios’ Keith Cox and Nina L. Diaz, along with 101 Studios’s David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin and Bob Yari with Smokehouse Pictures’s George Clooney and Grant Heslov. Additional executive producers include Alex Berger from TOP, Federation Studios/Federation Entertainment of America’s Ashley Stern and Pascal Breton, with Fassbender and Wright.

The writers of the series are Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth (Ford v Ferrari, Edge of Tomorrow), who also serve as executive producers.

The series is commissioned by Paramount+ and produced in association with Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios and co-distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution and Federation Studios.

While the season two release date is not set, season one is available to stream on Paramount+.
