OneGate Media has partnered with Bravado Equity for the global distribution of the political thriller series Dangerous Truth (Das zweite Attentat).

The collaboration will see OneGate Media manage the international distribution of the six-parter, with Bravado Equity handling financing. The series is a co-production between EIKON Media, WDR and ARD Degeto Film, along with Deal Productions (Stargazer, Tamara) in Luxembourg for ARD.

Inspired by true events that took place in the lead-up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Dangerous Truth centers around 35-year-old Alexander Jaromin, who has been living with his mother in Athens under assumed identities in the witness protection program of the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA).

Tania Reichert-Facilides, CEO of OneGate Media, commented, “In today’s market, new partnerships, strategic networks and flexibility are essential to be able to collaborate on high-quality content like Dangerous Truth. Our distribution expertise teamed with Ernst Ludwig Ganzert at EIKON Media on production and Eric Welbers at Bravado on financing makes for a strong collaboration. Both companies have outstanding reputations in the industry, and we look forward to sharing this incredible series with the world.”

Eric Welbers, CEO of Bravado, said, “We are constantly looking for high-quality productions with international relevance. We firmly believe that Dangerous Truth meets these criteria and can become an international success story. We are very excited about the partnership with OneGate Media, as our experiences and competencies perfectly complement each other for such a project.”

Ernst Ludwig Ganzert, CEO of EIKON Media, added, “After the collaboration with WDR, ARD Degeto and Deal Productions during the production, we are now also delighted to work with such excellent partners for international distribution. The themes and creative execution of our series are truly international, and we are confident that the series will find a global audience with the support of OneGate Media and Bravado.”
