O4 Media to Distribute Ukrainian Titles in AsiaPac

O4 Media has partnered with 1+1 Media Group to distribute two Ukrainian titles, including the dramedy Romeo and Juliet from Cherkassy, throughout Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The spin on Shakespeare’s classic play centers on Roma and Yulia, who fall in love and become engaged only to find out that their fathers are longtime enemies. The men are ready to put aside their differences for the sake of their children’s happiness, but first they must make it through the stress of wedding preparation.

O4 Media is also distributing the comedy Frostbitten, about a family who discovers a frozen relative who had been missing for 23 years in an old refrigerator in their basement. Their lives change forever as they are forced to live with this relative, whose mind is stuck in the ’90s and, according to all the documents, is the owner of the house.

“We’re all excited about this new partnership with 1+1 Media,” said Gary Pudney, founder and managing director of O4 Media. “This partnership enables us to take two great titles from Ukraine into Asia. We look forward to working with 1+1 to bring their titles to wider audiences in the East.”

“In such an extremely tough time, support and cooperation are very important to us,” added Inna Filipova, head of sales for 1+1 Media. “We believe that the projects that will be distributed by the company will resonate with a wide audience because these are heartwarming series with a vivid plot and original stories.”
