Nice Buys Matador Film

Nice entertainment group has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Matador Film, which created and co-produced two seasons of Äkta Människor (Real Humans).

Matador Film, which was started by producer Henrik Widman and script writer Lasse Lundström in 2009, will now be a part of Nice Drama. Lundström will work exclusively for Nice Drama. He has written and created TV series such as Äkta Människor, Tusenbröder, Pistvakt, Labyrint and Poliser, and will strengthen Nice Drama with several new development projects for both linear and SVOD platforms.

“I am certain it will be incredible fun and inspiring to develop and work on future projects together with Nice Drama for the Swedish and international television market,” said Lundström.

“We welcome Lasse with open arms, and we are looking forward to growing even further in the expanding scripted market with him on our team,” added Mikael Wallen, CEO of Nice Drama.
