New U.S. Medical Drama The Good Doctor Scores U.K. Pickup

The medical drama The Good Doctor, which launches this fall on ABC in the U.S., has landed a slot on Sky Living in the U.K.

The drama, produced by ABC Studios and Sony Pictures Television, stars Freddie Highmore (Bates Motel) as Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome. The freshman series comes from David Shore (creator of House) and Daniel Dae Kim (Hawaii Five-0).
