New Turkish Drama Commissioned for beIN CONNECT

The Turkish pay-TV operator Digiturk and producer Ay Yapim have teamed up for a new drama series that will be streamed exclusively on the OTT platform beIN CONNECT.

The drama, titled The Choice, explores the life of Irfan (played by Halit Ergenç), an idealist professor of economics who is upset by his unfair dismissal and is trying to care for his 7-year-old son who is sick. As the doors close one by one, Irfan finds himself in the middle of a dark adventure that he can’t escape, while his wife (played by Nur Fettahoğlu) turns to help from his childhood friends, including Egemen (played by Ozan Güven).

The Choice is directed by Uluç Bayraktar and written by Nüket Bıçakçı and Özlem Yücel. The first season has 13 episodes.

This is the first original series that Digiturk has released since beIN acquired the company in 2016. beIN’s entertainment division is set to launch a number of original series within the next 12 months.
