New Sales for Flames of Fate & Nehir

Madd Entertainment has confirmed early sales for two drama series on its slate—Ay Yapim’s Flames of Fate and Medyapim’s Nehir.

Flames of Fate is distributed in Spain, Romania, Hungary, Chile, Croatia, Israel, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Paraguay, Honduras, Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Uzbekistan and LatAm. Nehir, meanwhile, is distributed in Spain, Romania, Albania, Hungary, Israel, Paraguay, Macedonia and LatAm.

Based on the original story of La Bazar de Charite, Flames of Fate is a period drama based on a real tragedy in 19th-century Paris in which over 100 women died in a fire at a charity ball. The series follows three survivors whose suffering begins only after the blaze is extinguished. The series is directed by Alexandre Laurent and was a success for TF1 with over 7 million French viewers for each episode. Show TV airs Flames of Fate under the Turkish title Alev Alev. The adaptation stars Demet Evgar (Avlu), Dilan Çiçek Deniz (The Pit) and Hazar Ergüçlü (Kuzey Güney).

Nehir anchors Tuesday nights for FOX Turkey, where it airs under the original title Baraj. Based on a classic film, the series explores a love triangle between the title character, a disfigured middle-aged man she fell in love with online and the handsome young man she thinks is her internet beau. The series stars Feyyaz Duman (Woman), Burak Yörük and Biran Damla Yılmaz (Broken Flowers).
