New ITV Drama from Harry & Jack Williams

LONDON: ITV has commissioned the eight-part series The Widow from writers Harry and Jack Williams.

Produced by Two Brothers Pictures (Liar, The Missing, Fleabag), the series will go into production during the winter of 2018 in Wales, Africa and the Netherlands. The story follows Georgia Wells, who is forced to seek the truth about what happened to the man she loved. Haunted by the past and grieving for all she has lost, Georgia hasn’t given up hope of finding out what went on with her husband while he worked in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.

The series will be distributed globally by all3media International.

Polly Hill, ITV’s head of drama, commented: “Harry and Jack really are masters of complex emotional and unpredictable storytelling. The Widow is a brilliantly relevant, contemporary story that constantly surprises and I am delighted to have it on ITV. I think it will be a real treat for our audience.”
