Netflix Reveals More Details on Kakegurui Adaptation

BET, a live-action adaptation of the thriller manga Kakegurui for Netflix, is now in production in Toronto led by showrunner Simon Barry (Warrior Nun).

Miku Martineau, Ayo Solanke, Eve Edwards, Clara Alexandrova, Hunter Cardinal, Anwen O’Driscoll, Aviva Mongillo and Ryan Sutherland have been cast as leads.

The show is set at a boarding school for the global elite where underground gambling determines the social hierarchy and is upended by the arrival of a mysterious transfer student.
