Netflix Boards God Country Adaptation

Netflix has teamed with Legendary and AfterShock Media for the film adaptation of Donny Cates’ graphic novel God Country.

Director Jim Mickle (Sweet Tooth) and Cates will adapt the story, which follows an aging man with dementia who acquires a mythical sword that cures him of his disease. Everything comes with a price, though, and he must then use the sword to protect his family against terrifying otherworldly creatures seeking its power.

Mickle also serves as a producer, alongside Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, Lee Kramer, Jon Kramer and Linda Moran.
