MTG Studios Sets Cold Courage as Next Viaplay Original

The crime drama Cold Courage has been lined up as the next original series from MTG Studios.

The eight-episode series will premiere exclusively on MTG’s Nordic video streaming service Viaplay in 2019. It is based on the bestselling books by Pekka Hiltunen. David Joss Buckley (Hinterland) will script the series, while Agneta Fagerström-Olsson (Seppan, Knockout) directs.

The series is produced by Markku Flink at Luminoir (Finland), with A Private View (Belgium), Vico Films (Ireland) and Sagafilm (Iceland) as co-producers.

Jakob Mejlhede, MTG’s executive VP and head of programming and content development, said: “This is one of MTG’s most ambitious originals so far.
