MIPCOM to Host Record Number of International Drama Screenings

PARIS: MIPCOM is doubling its offer of International Drama Screenings, planning to present a record number of new shows from the U.S., U.K., Germany, France and China.

The dramas set to screen are The Missing season two (all3media International), Maximilian and Marie de Bourgogne (Beta Film), Ouro (Newen Distribution), Jamestown (Carnival Films), Freakish (AwesomenessTV), The Legendary Tycoon (Huace Film & TV) and a double-bill screening of Fangar: Prisoners and Charité (Global Screen). This year’s International Drama Screenings will be held from October 17 to 19. It will include seven sessions, with a total of eight brand-new shows.

“Drama is increasingly important in the international TV marketplace, whether for linear broadcasters or online services, so it is only natural that MIPCOM reflects the quality and diversity of current worldwide output through these many prestige screenings,” said Laurine Garaude, the director of Reed MIDEM’s television division.
