MIPCOM Sets The Same Sky for World Premiere TV Screening

PARIS: The Same Sky, a family drama set against the backdrop of a divided Berlin in the 1970s, has been made part of the MIPCOM 2016 World Premiere TV Screenings.

The World Premiere TV Screening for The Same Sky is scheduled for Monday, October 17, in the Palais des Festivals at 6:30 p.m. The six-hour series is directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel (Billions, Downfall), and was created and written by Paula Milne (The Politician’s Wife, The Virgin Queen, Endgame). The story centers on the relationship between an East German agent and his target in the West, the woman he has to seduce for the sake of his country.

The Same Sky is a UFA Fiction/Beta Film production for ZDF in co-production with Mia film and in association with Rainmark Films. The MIPCOM screening will be followed by a Q&A with Milne; cast members Sofia Helin, Friederike Becht and Tom Schilling; and producers from UFA, Beta and Rainmark.
