MHz Choice has revealed the slate of new series landing on the platform in September, including the women-led show Queens.

In the Israeli drama, all of the men in a prominent crime family are assassinated, and the women are left to pick up the pieces and fight for their rightful place in a masculine world to resurrect the family business. It is set to bow on the platform with English subtitles on September 19.

Queens stars singer/actress Rita (A Thousand and One Wives), Dana Ivgy (Zero Motivation, Autonomies), Mali Levi (Atomic Falafel) and Lihi Kornowski (Losing Alice, Crimes of the Future). Banijay Rights handles international distribution.

Also landing on the platform next month is Walking on Sunshine, an Austrian comedic drama following a disgraced anchorman who gets a second chance when he takes on the job of weatherman at a local TV station. His unconventional style bothers the station’s general manager, though, and the station soon becomes a place full of jealousy and secrets. The series, distributed by ORF, will bow on September 5 with English subtitles.

Also on September 5, the Italian limited series The Bride is slated to premiere. In Italy in the late 1960s, a woman reluctantly accepts an arranged marriage to save her family from poverty but struggles to truly love him and get over her first true love. As she adjusts to the reality of her new farming life, a figure from her past appears and changes everything. It is represented by Banijay Rights.

The Belgian show Pandora is slated to bow on MHz Choice in September as well. Distributed by APC, the French-language series centers on a judge who is conflicted when she discovers her father is involved in a high-profile corruption case she’s been investigating for years. It will land on MHz Choice with English subtitles on September 12.
