Lucy is the 7 Heads to HBO Max in LatAm

SOMOS Productions and Pinolywood Studios’ youth musical Lucy is the 7 is set to debut on HBO Max in Latin America in September.

The show follows Lucy, a girl with an imaginative mind who sees those around her as characters from Japanese anime. The person she sees most vividly is Anthony, a boy striving to become a famous singer with many social media followers.

Lucy’s biggest dream is to become a music star alongside Anthony, as she has always been in love with him. Their shared goal is to perform together on stage and rise to fame as international artists. Anthony’s vision is to form a seven-member K-pop group.

Season one, debuting in September on HBO Max in LatAm, consists of ten episodes. The series is produced in Puerto Rico.

“We are thrilled to have reached this agreement with Max, and we believe there’s no better platform to deliver a high-quality and entertaining production,” said Luis Villanueva, president and CEO of SOMOS Group. “It’s a genre that resonates with viewers of all ages thanks to its joy and optimism. Both teams worked hard, and this collaboration will surely lead to more opportunities in the future.”
