Lionsgate, Silver Pictures Series in Development at Freeform

BURBANK: A series inspired by the best-selling novel Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of an American Family is in development at Freeform with Lionsgate and Silver Pictures Television.

Lionsgate and Silver Pictures have a script deal for New People at Freeform (formerly ABC Family). It is inspired by the novel by Amy Ellis Nutt about a transgender girl and her family.

Feature film writer and director Don Roos will write and executive produce New People. Joel Silver and Rodney Ferrell will executive produce through Silver Pictures Television and Lionsgate Television.
