Lionsgate Television has signed a deal with Power Book IV: Force showrunner Gary Lennon to extend their creative partnership.

Lennon will continue to work with Lionsgate Television and STARZ on development opportunities to expand the Power universe, which already features four installments. Lennon previously worked with Lionsgate Television on P-Valley, the flagship Power series, Hightown and Orange Is the New Black.

Lennon also serves as an executive producer on HBO’s multiple Emmy-nominated series Euphoria. He won a Peabody Award and was nominated for an Emmy for the first season of Lionsgate Television’s Orange Is the New Black, and he earned Peabody, WGA and AFI Awards for the FX blockbuster Justified. He also won two NAACP Image Awards for the original Power series.

“Gary has been a major creative force in the Power universe,” said Kevin Beggs, chair and chief creative officer of Lionsgate Television Group. “We look forward to extending our partnership as we collaborate with STARZ to create new and unexpected franchise extensions for Power fans.”

“Lionsgate Television has been the ideal production partner,” added Lennon. “Their creative team is unmatched, and they have been incredibly supportive as we’ve built and expanded the Power universe. They are a great home for talent looking to broaden their creative horizons.”
