Lifetime Greenlights Flowers in the Attic Prequel Miniseries

Following on the success of Lifetime’s Flowers in the Attic and subsequent V.C. Andrews movie series franchises, the network has ordered Flowers in the Attic: The Origin, a prequel miniseries event.

Flowers in the Attic: The Origin peels back the curtain to reveal the twisted origins and dark secrets of the Foxworth family. Jemima Rooper (Gold Digger) and Max Irons (Condor) will star as Olivia Winfield and Malcolm Foxworth, respectively, parents to Corrine Foxworth and grandparents to Cathy and Chris Dollanganger.

The cast will also feature Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), Harry Hamlin (Mad Men), Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries), Kate Mulgrew (Orange Is the New Black), Alana Boden (I Am Elizabeth Smart), Hannah Dodd (Harlots), T’Shan Williams (The Color Purple) and Callum Kerr (Four Weddings and a Funeral).

Flowers in the Attic: The Origin is an A+E Studios production in association with Sutton St. Productions and CBS Studios. It is based on the prequel novel Garden of Shadows by Andrew Neiderman. The miniseries was made with the support of the Romanian Government.
