LEONINE Studios to Rep The Seed

LEONINE Studios has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to the international six-part thriller The Seed (w.t.).

The series follows German detective Max (Heino Ferch) and Norwegian policewoman Thea (Ingrid Bolsø Berdal) as they set out to find Max’s missing nephew and learn that his disappearance may be connected to the takeover of a seed company, leading them into a web of intrigue and political interests. The backdrop of the series is the Global Seed Vault, the backup hard drive of global nutrition.

Co-produced by Odeon Fiction, ARD Degeto, NRK Norway and MIA Film, The Seed is directed by Alexander Dierbach (Line of Separation), Axel Hellstenius and Christian Jeltsch (Tatort), who is also creator and head writer. LEONINE Studios handles international sales for the English-language thriller.
