L.A. Screenings Spotlight: Eccho Rights

Eccho Rights is presenting three Turkish drama titles, two that are brand new for the current season and one that “has enjoyed great international sales success already but is now set to dominate in Latin America,” according to Barbora Suster, head of Latin America and Iberia.

The Promise is a new daily drama series from Karamel Yapim “that is breaking all sorts of records for broadcaster Kanal 7 in Turkey,” says Suster. “The Promise has already proven hugely successful in Turkey, pushing Kanal 7 from a position as the eighth-ranked channel to third place each day in its broadcast slot. The impact was so immediate that the channel already commissioned a second season after just a week on air, which is totally unheard of in the Turkish market. We are hugely excited to see how the series will perform internationally. It is a great quality production with an engaging romantic storyline that will really connect with viewers.”

Eccho Rights is also bringing Wounded Birds, another daily series from producer Stellar Yapim that just started this spring on Kanal D, and Stiletto Vendetta, from Ay Yapim, which has landed a slew of international sales in the past year.

“As well as our extensive catalog of Turkish titles, we are bringing a number of international series that we expect will be of interest particularly to OTT platforms and others looking for wider global content,” Suster says. “We will be presenting a brand-new selection of titles produced by our partner company CJ ENM, and we have some great new content from Western Europe, including Invisible Heroes, a co-production between Finland and Chile.”
