Kanal D International has licensed the Turkish drama Innocent to Colombia’s Canal Uno and Mexico’s Azteca.
Innocent marks the first drama that was produced for Kanal D’s OTT platform BluTV by D Productions. The eight-episode series is based on Berkun Oya’s theater play The Flag. It stars Haluk Bilginer in the lead role as Cevdet, a father faced with a hard choice.
The crime drama explores the events surrounding a Turkish family, whose son returns home with news that he went hysterical and killed his wife. The father, a retired police captain, is faced with two choices: doing the right thing by bringing his son to justice or covering it up by using his professional expertise and saving his son.
