Tomorrow Studios has secured the television rights for the novel Hang the Moon, written by the New York Times best-selling author Jeannette Walls (The Glass Castle).

The novel follows Sallie Kincaid, the daughter of the biggest man in a small town, who is cast out from her life of comfort and privilege after an accident involving her stepbrother. She returns nine years later to her father’s empire in the Appalachian Mountains and must confront the secrets and scandals that hide in the shadows.

Boo Killebrew, whose credits include the Tomorrow Studios-produced series Physical (Apple TV+), will write the television adaptation.

Tomorrow Studios’ CEO and partner, Marty Adelstein, and president and partner, Becky Clements, said: “As soon as we started reading the book, we knew it would make an incredible television series. We are appreciative that Jeannette entrusts us with her story and that Boo is as excited as we are to adapt the story for TV.”
