International Drama Screenings Fest Spotlight: Bavaria Media International

In the International Drama Screenings Festival, Bavaria Media International is showcasing a thriller with a more comedic bent with Dead End—The Sworn Sisters of Suburbia.

With two seasons available, “Dead End blends tension, dry humor and feminist relatability in a universal manner,” says Helge Köhnen, head of content sales. “The production quality mimics and updates popular narratives known since Desperate Housewives with international grace.”

The show, comprising 12 45-minute episodes so far, follows four best girlfriends who are connected by a dark, submerged and sworn secret. Julia, a curious newcomer, becomes determined to uncover the truth.
