International Broadcasters Pick Up French Thriller The Best of Us

Broadcasters and streamers in Germany, Spain, Portugal, the U.K. and Ireland have acquired the French crime thriller The Best of Us.

Produced by Quad Drama and TS Productions for France Télévisions, the four-part series begins when local star athlete Abel Guérin is found dead in a snowy field with a bullet in his head. Awa Sissako, a young police captain from the city dispatched to help solve the case, discovers that the admired hometown hero had an entourage hiding many secrets.

The Best of Us is written by Lucie Prost, Aurélia Morali (Chronicles of the Sun, For Sarah) and Isabel Sebastian (The Intern) and directed by Floriane Crépin. Mariama Gueye (Standing Up, Gloria) stars.

About Premium Content (APC Studios group) has sold the series to ZDF in Germany, AMC Networks International in Spain and Portugal, Acorn TV North America for the U.K. and Ireland and EITB for Spain.
