Following its attendance at DISCOP Johannesburg, Inter Medya has reported strong interest for a number of its Turkish series and movies from African broadcasters.

Ahmet Ziyalar, the COO of Inter Medya, said, “We are happy to have begun a number of exciting conversations with broadcasters from around the continent and are confident to close numerous deals in the near future.” Broadcasters showed particular interest in Inter Medya’s drama series Endless Love and Mrs. Fazilet and Her Daughters. Hayat, a dramedy produced by Bi Yapim, also attracted attention from buyers in the region.

At a panel themed “Turkish Content Traveling the Globe Including Africa,” organized in conjunction with DISCOP, Ziyalar stated: “Though we have been closely observing the African market for a few years, our company is attending DISCOP Africa for the first time. I am certain that Africa will become an important region when it comes to exporting Turkish content, following in the footsteps of the MENA region and Latin America. Our series produced by some of Turkey’s top production companies are highly sought-after everywhere. As a company policy, we have been constantly focusing on using the marketing tools at hand to attract attention to our products and boost the global competitiveness of domestic series.”

The founder and CEO of Inter Medya, Can Okan, added, “For this reason, we have high expectations for MIP Cancun, where we also expect several surprises.”
