Visitors, the first original production from Warner TV in France, has been acquired by HBO Max in the U.S.

Created and directed by Simon Astier (Hero Corp), Visitors centers on the small town of Point-Claire, where new policeman Richard grew up. His first day on the job takes a turn when two strange lights hit the sky and strange things begin to happen.

The series, produced by MakingProd, came about following a call for fiction projects in 2019. It debuted on Warner TV in France on May 10 and has also launched on HBO Max in Europe in the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. It will be available on the platform in the U.S. soon.

“From the early stages of the production of Visitors, we could already see that the series had the potential to travel outside of France,” said Guillermo Farré, head of the GE channels (TNT, WarnerTV, TCM, adultswim, Toonami) for Warner Bros. Discovery in Spain, France, Africa and MENA. “Its availability on HBO Max in the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and, of course, the U.S., is testament to that. We are confident that the audiences in all these countries will really enjoy the show.”
