Harlan Coben’s The Stranger Being Adapted for Netflix

Netflix has ordered The Stranger, a suspenseful new series based on the Harlan Coben novel of the same name.

Richard Armitage stars as Adam Price, a happily married man with two sons who has a seemingly perfect life, until one night a stranger sits next to him in a bar and tells him a devastating secret about his wife, Corinne. The secret sends him on a collision course with a deadly conspiracy.

Coben is the creator of the series and will serve as an executive producer. Danny Brocklehurst will serve as lead writer and executive producer. Nicola Shindler will serve as an executive producer and produce for Netflix through her company RED Production Company (a STUDIOCANAL company), with STUDIOCANAL as the studio.

The Stranger marks the third collaboration for RED Production Company, Coben and Netflix, following the success of The Five and Safe, which starred Michael C. Hall.

When I wrote it, I never imagined that I’d be part of a ‘dream team’ of extraordinary talent bringing it to life. I can’t wait to reunite with Danny, Nicola and Netflix on this remarkable project.”
