Greg Wise (Sense and Sensibility, The Crown) and Billy Campbell (The Killing, Cardinal) are joining the cast for season two of Modus.

Wise will be playing Warren, main character Inger Johanne Vik’s (Melinda Kinnaman) former FBI mentor. Campbell takes on the role of Dale Tyler, President Helen Tyler’s (Kim Cattrall) husband. The second season of the Swedish thriller will be released on C More this fall.

Modus is produced by Sandra Harms at Miso Film and written by Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe. The series is distributed by FremantleMedia International.

Wise commented: “Warren and Inger Johanne have a complicated past. Taking on this role was an exciting challenge, as Warren has a very dark side to him: he is the ultimate narcissist, Machiavellian and takes great delight in pushing all the boundaries. I’m sure the viewers will have no idea what to think of him. That’s the fun in playing the character.”

Campbell commented: “I play Dale Tyler, First Gentleman of the United States. Dale is the President’s husband and confidant, but their relationship has changed over the time they’ve spent with each other. What binds them together now is their daughter, and a dark secret they’ve shared for years.”

Johanna Bergenstråhle, the acting head of drama at C More and TV4, added: “It feels great that we with Modus have been able to attract an international cast in the caliber of Greg Wise, Billy Campbell and, of course, Kim Cattrall; it strengthens both the drama and the international power of Modus. We have a very exciting second season that we cannot wait to share with the audience later this year.”

Sandra Harms, producer at Miso Film, said: “After the success of the first season of Modus, we couldn’t wait to go into production with season two. The new series features a hugely international storyline, we have our talented returning cast and the addition of the outstanding Greg Wise, Billy Campbell and Kim Cattrall—this season is shaping up to be an exciting one.”
