In a deal with Media Group Ukraine (MGU), GoQuest Media Ventures has landed the distribution rights to four drama series commissioned by the free-to-air channel Ukraine.

The deal covers Ruby Ring (based on a Korean drama), Secrets (created by Fremantle), Rainflower (also based on a Korean show) and Eclipse (produced by MGU). “Ukrainian drama is growing from strength to strength and with the success of these four shows in their home territory, we are thrilled to add them to our growing portfolio of drama series,” said Jimmy George, VP of sales and acquisitions at GoQuest Media. “With all the right elements of romance, revenge, deception and melodrama, these shows have great potential to become international hits.  We are delighted to offer them to the global market.”

Iryna Chernyak, director of TV content sales at Media Group Ukraine, added, “Expanding the geography of our own content distribution is one of the key development strategies of Media Group Ukraine.  Our TV series are already known and popular in CIS and European markets.  We are extremely ambitious to go global and very pleased to start cooperating with a team of professionals from GoQuest Media Ventures.  I am confident that this partnership will be mutually beneficial and successful.”
