GoQuest Media has taken the distribution rights to several dramas from Serbia, Poland, Estonia and Romania.

Among the newly acquired titles is Still Waters, produced by Zolba Productions for Estonia’s ERR. The series centers on a teenager who arrives at a new school and finds herself being blackmailed when someone launches an online bullying campaign against her.

From Serbia, GoQuest Media picked up Secrets of the Grapevine. Produced by MetRo Productions for Telekom Srbija, the romantic drama follows the story of two feuding winemaking families, the Tomovics and Smiljanics. Former lovers Vuk Tomovic and Vera Smiljanic rekindle their romance after 20 years but must make great sacrifices.

Crazy in Love, a telenovela that aired on Poland’s TVN 7, sees dentist Piotr Nowak and veterinarian Joanna Popiel accidentally meet again ten years after a holiday fling when Joanna opens an office in the same building as Piotr’s practice.

Lastly, GoQuest Media acquired Sacrificiul, produced by Dream Film Production and originally broadcast on Romania’s free-to-air TV network, Antena 1. The drama revolves around the stories of three sisters who were separated and reunited years later by the fortuitous connection of their children.

“We’re so pleased to continue our partnership with Telekom Srbija and ERR and build a new one with TVN and Dream Film Production,” said Akshit Sandhu, manager of acquisitions at GoQuest Media. “These gripping series enjoyed high ratings and found great popularity with their local audiences, and we believe that these evergreen themes and performances will appeal to international audiences too.”
