GMA Network Teams with Viu for The Write One

The romantic drama series The Write One, the first collaboration between GMA Network and Viu, is slated to premiere later this month.

The show tells the story of TV producer Liam and his partner Joyce, who gave up her budding show business career to be his wife and a mother to their son. Both wonder what could have been had they not given up their individual dreams, and Liam begins writing the revised story of their lives.

In the new timeline, Liam is a creative manager of a film production company, while Joyce is the most sought actor of her generation. Liam is in a relationship with a fashion icon, while Joyce is wooed by a lawyer who offers her emotional and financial security.

The Write One is produced by GMA Public Affairs, the same team that created Lolong and Love You Stranger. It stars real-life couple Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali in their first project together. The cast also includes Lotlot De Leon, Ramon Christopher, Mon Confiado, Alma Concepcion, Art Acuna, Kokoy De Santos, Royce Cabrera, Kaloy Tingcungco, Analyn Barro, Yvette Sanchez and Euwenn Mikaell Aleta.

The series will begin airing on March 20 on GMA, Pinoy Hits, I Heart Movies and GTV. Advanced episodes will premiere on Viu Philippines beginning March 18.

“I’m really excited to be given this chance to work with Bianca in a romantic drama series like this,” Madrid said. “I’m also happy to be reunited with GMA Public Affairs after I did Lolong with them, which is really a huge success.”
