George Clooney’s Catch-22 Picked Up by Canal+

The six-part limited series Catch-22, based on the novel of the same name written by Joseph Heller, has been licensed to Canal+ in France.

The series is executive produced and directed by George Clooney (Up in the Air, The Ides of March), who will also co-star. Clooney will be joined by Kyle Chandler (The Wolf of Wall Street, Bloodline), Hugh Laurie (The Night Manager), Giancarlo Giannini (Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale) and Christopher Abbott (Girls).

The series will also air on Hulu in the U.S., Sky Italia in Italy and Channel 4 in the U.K.

Paramount Pictures Worldwide Television Licensing & Distribution inked the new deal with Canal+. “Always looking after innovating and challenging international series, Canal+ is proud to soon propose on exclusivity to its subscribers the six-part limited series Catch-22,” Canal+ commented. “Already home of the most renowned international movie and TV stars, Canal+ is naturally thrilled to add to its lineup a series created and embodied by such an amazing ensemble of talents.”
