Fremantle Combines U.S., Europe Scripted Under Christian Vesper

Christian Vesper has been appointed at Fremantle to head up all drama and film operations across the U.S. and Europe as CEO of global drama and film.

The bouquet of labels and talent reporting into Vesper includes the Fremantle-owned labels Element Pictures, Miso Film, Passenger and Dancing Ledge, as well as companies with first-look deals with Fremantle, including Kristen Stewart, Dylan Meyer and Maggie McLean’s Nevermind Pictures; Pablo and Juan de Dios Larraín’s Fabula; Rachel Weisz and Polly Stokes’ Astral Projection; Edward Berger’s Nine Hours; Johan Renck and Michael Parets’ Sinestra; Sarah Condon’s Fair Harbour; Richard Yee and Krishnendu Majumdar’s Me+You Productions; and Patrick Daly’s Caledonia Productions. Filmmakers who have ongoing deals with Fremantle include Luca Guadagnino, Paolo Sorrentino, Angelina Jolie and Michael Winterbottom.

Under the new structure, Fremantle’s North American scripted business and labels will all report to Vesper. This will include Dante Di Loreto under a newly created producer deal with Fremantle.

Vesper continues to report to Andrea Scrosati, group COO and CEO for Continental Europe.
