France’s Canal+ Picks Up Cardinal

LOS ANGELES: The first season of the dramatic thriller Cardinal is now set to air on Canal+ in France, following a deal secured by Entertainment One (eOne).

Produced by Sienna Films and eOne in association with Bell Media’s CTV, the series has already been renewed for seasons two and three. The drama is adapted from the award-winning novel Forty Words for Sorrow, the first of the John Cardinal Mysteries series.

“We’re delighted to have secured Canal+ as the French broadcaster for Cardinal season one as we head into MIPTV,” commented Stuart Baxter, the president of eOne Television International. “We’re incredibly proud of this captivating series which is already gaining early success among international audiences.”
