Entertainment One (eOne) has licensed The Spencer Sisters to a host of broadcasters.

The Spencer Sisters is a female-led, lighthearted detective procedural that follows mystery novelist Victoria Spencer (Lea Thompson) and her daughter Darby Spencer (Stacey Farber), who are mistaken as sisters as they tackle puzzling cases.

The series has been sold to Warner Bros. Discovery (France), NBCUniversal (Germany), WOWOW (Japan), Disney (Middle East and Portugal), Play Media (Belgium), TV Joj (Slovakia) and Tet/Telia (Baltics).

The Spencer Sisters is produced by eOne and Buffalo Gal Pictures. It recently premiered on The CW in the U.S., as well as on CTV in Canada and NBCUniversal International Networks and DTC’s channel DIVA in the Balkans.

“We’re delighted with the response we’ve received about The Spencer Sisters and the support of our esteemed broadcasters on this engaging and charming detective procedural,” commented Spyro Markesinis, executive VP of sales for EMEA and Asia for eOne. “The momentum we are seeing with The Spencer Sisters–both in these sales and continued enquiries–highlights the incredibly strong appeal this kind of show has produced.”
