FOX to Debut Outcast on Facebook in Asia

HONG KONG: The new horror drama Outcast is set to launch simultaneously on Facebook and the FOX channel tomorrow across Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.

The show’s premiere episode will debut on both screens in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand at 10 p.m. and at 8:55 p.m. in the Philippines. The episode will also be made available on YouTube 24 hours after its launch. Based on the Skybound/Image comic title by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Outcast follows a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life.

FOX will broadcast each of the drama’s ten episodes weekly across the region, within hours of the U.S. telecast on Cinemax.

“We are thrilled to launch this new FOX original show,” said Keertan Adyanthaya, the executive VP of content and communications at FOX Networks Group Asia. “Fans of high-quality and high-production-value dramas with gripping story lines and mesmerizing characters are going to love Outcast, especially if they are already fans of The Walking Dead. We are excited to make the first episode available to as many people as possible as we’re certain they’ll be drawn into the spellbinding world of Outcast once they watch it.”
