PARIS: Federation Entertainment and Authentic Prod are teaming up to adapt Michel Bussi’s novel Le Temps est Assassin (Time is a Killer) for television.

The French publishing house Presses de la Cité licensed the TV rights for the novel, which has already sold 220,000 copies since it launched just a few months ago. Aline Besson and Isabelle Drong of Authentic Prod and Pascal Breton of Federation will co-produce the project, which is being planned as an 8×52-minute event miniseries. Breton and Besson previously worked together as co-producers on the hit French drama Dolmen.

Le Temps est Assassin follows the destiny of a modern woman, Clotilde. The sole survivor of a tragic accident that cost the life of her brother and their parents in Corsica when she was 15, Clotilde returns to the Mediterranean island many years later with her husband Franck and her daughter Valentine, herself now aged 15. But soon after arriving, Clotilde receives a letter from her mother, Palma, who was presumed dead in the accident.
