Erik Leijonborg Joins Bonnier Broadcasting’s Drama Unit

Creator Erik Leijonborg has been tapped to serve as executive producer in the drama unit of Bonnier Broadcasting.

Leijonborg’s breakthrough came with the miniseries Brotherhood. Since then, he has been behind successful series such as Maria Wern, Farang and Thicker Than Water. Leijonborg’s latest project is the Netflix series The Last Kingdom.

Leijonborg said: “After all my years as a director, I’ve reached a point where I want to share my experience, so when TV4 got in touch, it absolutely felt like the right challenge for me. The idea is that I will keep a hand in as a director while going in and working with TV4, becoming a natural part of their team.”

Josefine Tengblad, head of drama at TV4 and C More, added: “I’ve had the privilege of working with Erik in the past, so it feels fantastic that he is now becoming part of our talented drama team at TV4 and C More. Erik will be a vital resource in the work to advance our drama projects in terms of content and quality—and an invaluable source for finding new creators and ideas.”
