Endemol Shine Poland Producing its First Period Drama

Endemol Shine Poland has been commissioned to produce the family saga Our Century for TVP1, marking the first period drama to come from the Polish production house.

The 13×1-hour series will be known locally as Stulecie Winnych. It is based on the best-selling novel written by Ałbena Grabowska that reveals an epic tale spanning 100 years, from just after the turn of the last century until modern times.

The story follows a family from the little town of Brwinów, near Warsaw. Season one begins in 1914 with the outbreak of World War I and runs all the way until the outbreak of the Second World War in 1939.

The drama will be directed by acclaimed Polish director and star Kinga Preis, Jan Wieczorkowski and Olaf Lubaszenko.
