Eccho Rights has partnered with Icelandic producer Glassriver for As Long As We Live, created by Aníta Briem (The Tudors).

The series follows a former queen of pop, now a struggling mom in a stale marriage who misses the thrills of her past life. Briem will star in the lead role.

As Long As We Live is set to begin shooting later this year and will air on Channel 2 in Iceland. Producers are Glassriver’s Hordur Runarsson and Abby Haflidadottir, in association with Eccho Rights. Adam Barth and Eccho Rights’ Nicola Söderlund are executive producers.

“The series has an edgy and fresh tone that we believe will have a very strong appeal for the international market,” said Söderlund. “Modern and urban relationships have always been a point of curiosity in the Nordic lifestyle, which is actually quite individualistic. We think that series like As Long As We Live are creating a brand of their own: Nordic Love.”
