Eccho Rights has closed a new round of deals for the Turkish drama Golden Boy, which has now been placed in more than 30 countries.

The latest territories it has sold into are Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro (Nova TV), North Macedonia (Kanal 5), Georgia (Imedi TV) and Romania (Antena 1/Happy Channel).

From OGM Pictures, the series tells the story of two sisters, Seyran and Suna, whose paths cross golden boy Ferit. Their lives are changed forever when Ferit decides to marry Seyran instead of Suna. Seyran will be the new bride in a family full of betrayals and secrets, while Suna will begin making revenge plans to get back her stolen future. Afra Saraoğlu, Mert Ramazan Demir and Çetin Tekindor star in the lead roles.

Golden Boy began airing on Star TV in September 2022 and topped the ratings chart each week in Turkey. Immediately following its launch, it was licensed to 23 territories throughout the MENA region through MBC Group.

“It is years since we have seen anything like this performance from a drama series in Turkey, so it is no surprise that the interest among international buyers is especially high for this amazing title,” said Handan Özkubat, director of Turkish drama at Eccho Rights.
