Eccho Rights is presenting the new drama series Wounded Birds, which comes from the creator of the worldwide hit Elif, at NATPE.

Wounded Birds will air daily on Kanal D in Turkey starting later this spring. The story follows two orphans, on the run from the man who had raised them on the streets, as they try to make a new life in Istanbul. They face many dangers, but also opportunities, in their new start.

The series marks the first title for Inci Gülen Oarr’s new production company, Stellar Yapim.

“We are very excited to see the next series from a producer that has enjoyed so much international success already,” said Fredrik af Malmborg, managing director of Eccho Rights. “Though it is still in pre-production, we have already received a lot of interest for this series as buyers see great value in a high-quality daily series.”

Gülen Oarr added: “This is a story that we are very excited to tell. We have learned a lot from having such a long-running series as Elif but we are thirsty to present something new to the world and we believe we will capture many more hearts with the emotional story in Wounded Birds.
