Eccho Rights has secured an output deal with the U.K.-based production company Born Wild.

Per the new partnership, the companies will team up to develop drama series and are currently working on a number of titles that already have international co-production partners in place. Among the titles is The Crystal Isle, a dark black comedy based on a true story about drug smuggling, backed by national broadcaster RTP in Portugal.

There’s also One Euro Village, a mockumentary focused on an Italian village selling dilapidated homes for €1 to stay alive, and Ezequiel Himes, a post-apocalyptic spaghetti Western based on a graphic novel by Victor Santos and Alberto Hernandez that follows telepathic undead. Red Swamp, a thriller set in the Finnish swamps where a group of French explorers investigating a new world unveiled by melting arctic glaciers discover that they have become prey, is also in development.

Born Wild is headed by producer Anthony Alleyne, whose debut movie Sunburn was released earlier this year on VOD in North America and Canada.

Nicola Söderlund, managing partner at Eccho Rights, said: “Anthony is a hungry, creative and ambitious producer, with a string of outstanding projects in development, perfectly positioned for the changing international market.”

Alleyne added: “I am amazed by Nicola and the whole Eccho Rights team’s energy and vision in taking our projects global. We have already made incredible progress.”
