Dynamic to Rep SYFY’s Live-Action Vagrant Queen

Dynamic Television has acquired the worldwide distribution rights for the new SYFY live-action series Vagrant Queen.

Produced by Blue Ice Pictures and led by an all-female team of writers and directors, the drama is based on the Vault Comics series of the same name. The 10×1-hour live-action series will star Adriyan Rae (Light as a Feather, Atlanta), Tim Rozon (Diggstown, Wynonna Earp, Schitt’s Creek) and Paul du Toit (Maze Runner). It is expected to premiere on SYFY in the U.S. in 2020.

Vagrant Queen is co-created by writer Magdalene Visaggio (Kim & Kim) and artist Jason Smith. Jem Garrard (Mech X4, Killer High, You. Me. Her.) serves as showrunner. The show is described as a “fun, violent and snarky space opera” that follows Elida (Rae) from child queen to orphaned outcast as she scavenges the treacherous corners of the galaxy, always remaining one step ahead of the republic that’s out to extinguish her bloodline.
