Dune: Prophecy Coming to Sky

Dune: Prophecy, from the universe of Frank Herbert’s Dune, is set to be available in the U.K. later this year on Sky and NOW.

Taking place 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, the series follows two Harkonnen sisters as they establish the sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit in order to combat forces that threaten humankind. The ensemble cast features, among others, Emily Watson, Olivia Williams and Travis Fimmel.

Also in the cast are Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Camilla Beeput, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning and Yerin Ha.

Dune: Prophecy is co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television, with Legendary also producing the film franchise from Denis Villeneuve. The series is showrun by Alison Schapker and directed by Anne Foerster. It is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

Executive producers are Schapker, Foerster, Diane Ademu-John, Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns and Jon Spaihts, alongside Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert for the Frank Herbert estate. Anderson serves as a co-producer.
