DCD Rights has secured sales for more than 100 hours of drama programming in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Latvia.

Profour picked up season five of My Life is Murder for Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, while BBC Studios and TV3 Group licensed seasons one through four for Poland and Latvia, respectively.

The drama, a Greenstone Pictures production for TVNZ, Acorn TV and DCD Rights, follows investigator Alexa Crowe, who uses her unique skills and insights into the darker quirks of human nature to provoke, comfort and push the right buttons to unravel the truth behind baffling crimes. It stars Lucy Lawless (Top of the Lake, Spartacus, Xena: Warrior Princess).

Also, CDA Premium acquired a package of 28 hours of dramas for Poland. This includes seasons one and two of The Secrets She Keeps, which stars Laura Carmichael (Downton Abbey) and Jessica De Gouw (The Couple Next Door).

From Lingo Pictures, The Secrets She Keeps is an adaptation of Michael Robotham’s novel that tells the story of two women who have a chance encounter in a supermarket in an affluent Sydney suburb. They are the same age, both heavily pregnant and live near each other, but their lives couldn’t be more different. Meghan is a glamorous online influencer on the rise, while Agatha works in the supermarket as a shelf stacker. They each have their own secrets that they are willing to risk everything for to conceal the truth. Their worlds collide in one shocking act that cannot be undone.

“These returning dramas are extremely popular with audiences around the world, and we’re delighted that further broadcasters across the CEE region are acquiring such well-produced and evergreen series for their viewers to enjoy,” said James Anderson, senior sales manager at DCD Rights.
